why cant i erase notes from piano roll after ive converted midi notes to step sequencer

and then copied midi to a new synth track and opened it also up as a step sequence and piano roll?......obviously there is some rule why this is, I can add to it and modify the length of notes, but it wont let me erase?..

SOLVED Audio Level Meter not showing proper level

I have been tracking bass this morning. I notice that when the "Record" is on and just playing back what I recorded the level meter (in track view) does not show the actual sound level. e.g. I recorded the track at -6 but the level meter only displays around -36. can i record si drums by clicking the virtual kit with a mouse?

Yeah, I just find I have more control of the sound with the mouse opposed to using midi keyboard or step sequencer, and even my crap midi drums, yet it wont record it when just clicking on the virtual drums with the mouse?..

Changing pitch without changing tempo

Hi People Just wondering if anyone can recommend a way of changing the pitch an audio (mp3) song without changing tempo and hopefully little or no artefacts. Would sonar be best for this or is there perhaps something like, "amazing slowdowner" that can do this really easily.I have a load of old song..
