silent hardware output -SOLVED-

still having a problem with two files that fail to start unless in safe mode, then I get a dialog about tracks assigned to a silent hardware output. Wasn't that fixed in X1? Is the fix still editing the cakewalk.ini file to stop the notice. Is this related to the file failing to load in X2? I reassi..

Play Cursor Jumping - What Happened Now?

Someting new just started... I don't remember making any changes since having my eyes opened to my drives sleeping even tho I set them to never.... and all was fine... Now a day (two?) later and the now time marker is moving in what appear to be equal jumps instead of consistent scrolling... Any ide..

Dimension pro not installed and not in the custom install menu

Hi, Just bought a new pc and therefore doing a fresh install of x2, without having x1 on the hard disk. But it isn't installing and not in the custom install menu as a soft synth . Checking my store account, it cannot be downloaded on its own, but was included in x2 download apparently. Any ideas..

MIDI Latency

I don't know why, but I suffered from Midi latency quite badly with X1 and tried everything to remedy it. I wrote on the forum a got a host of suggestions and got it better, but not right. I just installed X2 and the latency problem has blown away. Brilliant..

Left-button to lasso instead?

Just a quick question, lest I have to go to all the trouble of having to RTFM... I prefer to lasso clips using my left button (as was the case in X1, 8.5 and earlier) rather then with the right button (as with X2). Can I swap the key bindings for this? I'm away from my studio PC and on a mobile devi..

This not picking up the first MIDI note in a song thing

Is this an acknowledged problem? I guess I have never actually started a tune with a MIDI note until tonight.. At to my horror X2 is not picking up any MIDI notes that start at 00:00:00, regardless of what synth they're sent to. Googling I see that others have mentioned this problem and suggested to..

Pausing record at the now time

In X1 how do I do settings and what is the right method for stopping record at the now time, and then resuming R from there. I know it must be pretty simple but forgot. It was driving me crazy the other night while recording a band live, and when I stopped between songs, the now time would jump back..

i have a question, i had to reinstall X2 because when i was trying to get digital sound factory to work in dim pro i actually lost dim pro. anyway, when i was doing this i saw that i can install X2 in 32 or 64 bit. what are the benefits if any by using 64? what i mean is should the soft synths be in..

Ever see your CPU meter spike?

On my laptop I had X1 open with a project last saved in X2. The song was stopped while I was doing some other things around the house. Using multiple synths.

Hey folks. I think I'm missing something. I've tried, unsuccessfully to add 2 soft synths, True Pianos and SI String Section to a song. I can only get one of them to work. I've tried both cloning the original MIDI track and copying it to a new track then sending each output to its respective synth. ..
