Sample drive and Laptop

Bought a pretty good laptop. i7 3rd Gen, 7200rpm HD, Nvidea 630 2gb, etc, etc. Would a USB 3.0 external HD do for a sample drive. I really don't ned to record on the laptop but I would like to use the softsynths and mix Thanks..

Choppy playback when moving mouse pointer in track view

Has anyone else experience this or can they confirm? If I move my mouse cursor around in Sonar 8.5.2 during playback, the playback becomes choppy, stuttered. Kick replacement madness - transients off time SOLVED

Toontrack EZkeys crashing Sonar X2 Producer
