How to get that great wide stereo sound

In a cakewalk tutorial project called "Cakewalk_Audiodemo", there's an audio track called "GTY Rhythm". Its got a good stereo mix for the electric gtr. How is that done? Is it by sending lower freqs to the left and higher freqs to the right? Or Chorusing? Coreysan..

Anyone having trouble with R-Mix?

I tried to use R-Mix for the first time today and noticed that I had trouble defining the Frame. I could change the size vertically with no problem, but horizontally the grab points are not actually on the Frame itself, but a bit outside, to the left and right respectively. How do you insert and manipulate a clip gain envelope without using the smart tool box? Sorry, I searched the help and got nada... Input volume is lower than playback volume.

By about 8db. Probably a stupid question, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Does anyone have an idea as to where I should be looking to fix this? I don't see anything on my interface (Presonus audiobox 44 vsl) that should be doing it...
