Tracks fall out of sync with each other

When I am mixing, I like to try out different FX while the transport is running. Lately when doing this, tracks keep falling out of sync. PRV Filter Doesn't Retain Settings

Is there a trick to getting the PRV filter to retain its settings? I always set up and save a filter to only see MIDI data but when I close and reopen a project, the filter is gone...
