New to drum synths-percussion kits?

I'm working my way thru drum programs starting with SI Drums. I'd like more Latin/percussion kits than rock, hip hop or even jazz. IOW congas, Djembes, shakers etc? I haven't found any percussion kits yet. Do I need to go to another synth for these? (EG SD3?)..

Making Drum Samples in Sonar

I usually record using simple old school techniques, but recent circumstances have altered my workflow (twins). I need to sample my drum kit, and "play" it using a midi controller with pads. I want to have several velocity layers to make the sample as realistic as possible. I'm not sure what program..

Track Lanes: By design, Or Bug? please confirm or deny: Anyone? Beuhler? Beuhler?

hey guys, i'm using sonar x1 essentials and the ez drummer dfh expansion pack integrated in my daw. when ever i make any changes to the drums on my console view there are little black lines that show where ive made an edit. how do i get rid of these? hope i've explained that ok thanks james...
