Recording directly to a take lane mutes all other lanes, is this right?

Was just experimenting with the take lanes and discovered that when you arm a take lane and record onto it, all the other lanes automatically mute whilst recording. Sound on sound is selected in recording options, and the auto punch mute other takes option is off. Maybe i'm not seeing the intended p..

I did find Sonar X2 a very pleasing experience, love Breverb and the new improved FX chains. However, the stability aint that good, I had X2 crash 3 times today, and a couple of times yesterday.
