X2 Console Emulation

Please forgive my ignorance - when X2 is running (its crashing every few minutes) should the Console Emulation drive knob make any difference to the signal. I can turn it up, down and nothing happens, or doesnt seem to. Maybe the change is subtle? Thank you..

Can anyone tell me what is going on, it took me 8 hours to download the files yesterday. They get 75% done installing and I get the error. My choices are abort , retry, ignore. Old MIDI project needs to sync to tempo

I say old, it's not that old, it was done in X1 and has all the data but for some reason it has no correlation to the tempo. IOW I see the tempo set at 175 bpm and the project is actually around 100. It's only a 60 second piece and I need to make it over 2 min and add another section to it. Is there..

Maybe I am just having trouble getting used to the changes in the smart tool. However, I find it hard to edit the edges of overlapping clips to tweak crossfades because I have to actually clip the top of each clip to select it first.
