SOLVED: Where/what exactly is the "default template"?

I've always struggled with this. Especially since if you use File | Open set to "All Cakewalk Files" .cwt files do NOT show up unless you search for just them. Weird. Arpeggio question

I'm using the built in arpeggio on one of my tracks. I'm using automation to turn it on and off. It works like a charm when that specific track is highlighted, but when I focus on a different track, the automation doesn't work. It only seems to work reliably when the arpeggiated track is highlighted..

[Solved] I'm getting this error on all the Studio instruments
