Dimensiom Pro not playing bass notes below A2

Is this a limitation of cakewalk instruments? I can't get any of the basses in Dimension Pro x64, SI Bass Guitar, or Cakewalk Sound Center to play a note below third string oopen (A2). .REX .RX2 .WAV editor in Sonar X3?

Someone in a thread here mentioned .rx2 file "metadata". How can you edit that metadata within a ".rx2" file And if it is just better bouncing the .rx2 file into native cakewalk wave format what editor would be best for taking the beat slices and manipulating them? i.e. pitch, formant, timing etc.....
