VS-700 Drivers not working in Windows 8

I just upgraded to Windows 8 Pro and now the VS-700 is non-functional. Un-installing/re-installing the driver also fails. It hangs at the point where it tells you to connect the VS-700 during the install. Any suggestions or guidance would really be appreciated. e.B..

What fixes or improvements were added to Sonar X2 for the VS 700 system?

Or is it the same as X1 ? Any lingering bugs or issues from the VS700 been fixed? I've heard 8.5 was the best yet in VS700 stability and compatibility, will this be as solid as 8.5? I've heard some issues with X1 and the VS700 so what the verdict in X2 any planned or completed improvements?..

Hi, I was wondering if a button on the a-500pro could be mapped to a 3rd party synth or any synth really so I could scroll through presets without having to have my hand on my mouse constantly clicking on the button.With thousands upon thousands of presets and hundreds of synths it gets exhausting, ..

anyone know if there is a template that I can get and add to the folder of controllers in Sonar X1? I'm not a guru on controllers. and the ones offered don't sound like comperable controllers to use. also I went to akai and didn't see anything. thanks, Jim..

Pops & Clicks coming through recordings

Any idea how to stop this, it's messing just about everything I'm recording. Even when I put the focusrite going into the vs through adat I'm getting the same pops and clicks, some of them even sound like the recording skipped...

Is it possible to "bypass" preamp on VS700r?

I'm not sure if I'm asking the question correctly, but this is what I'm hoping to do: Say I have a Mic (first source in signal chain), then an external mic pre, and then the VS700R. If I am using any of the 8 BAL/UNBAL XLR inputs on the back of the unit, is there a way to get the signal in "cleanly"..

Lack of Inserts....
