Cakewalk Pyro 2003 and DirectX 8.1

I recently got a new computer and am attempting to install Cakewalk Pyro on it. The OS is XP with the upgrade 2 package. When I try to install I get the message that I don't have DirectX 8.1 but when I try to download and install that I get the message that 8.1 is for up to Windows 2000 but not XP. ..

2.5 Registering question
