Hardware compatibility - dang technology

WHat a bad day. Tried to replace my older video card with a newer one, and the PCIe support came off with the old card! FYI - V1.01 Firmware and driver updates for TASCAM US-2x2 and US-4x4 interfaces

http://tascam.com/product/us-4x4/downloads/ The update uses the same driver and firmware for the 2x2 or 4x4.Install the driver first (you can do this with the interface connected), then the firmware. microphone for recording classical guitar

What microphone is best for just recording one track...that of classical guitar? Should it be a USB connection? I'm just learning on my Sonar X1 Essentials and my microphone is garbly..it's an old one and has an 1/8th inch plug.. Thanks for any suggestions.. I'm going to check out Best Buy tomorrow ..
