NI Rig Kontrol vs Motu Ultralite Mk3

Hi, I just bought a Rig Kontrol to my Guitar Rig 5. There is just one thing that annoys me. It is the sound. Is there something wrong with my box ore is the MOTU card so much better? New to DAWs, trying to find a controller that will work well with Sonar.

I have Sonar X3 and am shopping for a MIDI controller. Of course, I'd really like the Nektar Panorama P4 or P6, but I'm sure it's way out of my budget. Preamp worth investing in?

Hey! At the moment I connect my Epiphone Black Beauty (modified with Gibson mics) directly to my Roland Quad Capture card. Is it worth investing in a separate preamp? What would you recommend for a guy who need to spend every penny wisely. Is there anywhere where I can listen to some sound examples ..
