X1 and Yamaha 02R96 as the Control Surface

Is anyone getting any control functions in X1 with the Yamaha 02R? Just the transport section would be great. Yamaha tech support says to use HUI Emulation, but Cake does not support that. I found an old 01v control plug here, but its for Sonar 2 and of course the 01v. All the threads I've found..
