DAW fader controller employing multiple "mouse-wheel" <- do you think this will work ?

I had been thinking and hoping to find such product.. LOL Imagine, a surface controller with eight or more mouse wheels for fader movement control - can be produced cheaply, as it's none motorized. Edit : Perhaps a bigger wheel for comfort. Will it work ?..
