ROland Quad-Capture

Hi all, ROland Quad-Capture came in today. I didn't realize this when I purchased it, but the inputs are left/right on the front. So when I plug the mic into Inuput 2R (XLR), it only records on the right. If I plug it into the 1st input, it records on the left side of the track. There does not appea..

Do I want: A Casio XW G1, or a Roland A500 Pro

Which one do I want? Can only buy 1. If I buy the Roland, the added bonus is I can: Swing a sweet PCI Audio Interface. If I buy the Casio: Than I have a kick ass, synth that brings the 80s back in style!! ?? Need to make a decision really quickly!! What should it be?..

Mic Pre amp question!!!

Im thinking about getting the MXl v87 for r&b vocals which already has an fet pre amp built into the mic.. right now i am using the m audio fast track interface with 48 phantom power... when i record with my old mic now... it doesnt sound very clear as you can tell its a home recording cuz it do..
