Why did Yamaha stop producing the NS10's?

Seems like another one of those morron moves huge companies make all the time. They had a model that had become so successful it was the industry standard monitor. Can't have that now can we? EQ works bypassed but not engaged

I just got a NADY 215 stereo 15 band EQ and channel 1 works when the bypass button is both pressed and not pressed. No sound comes from channel 2 unless the EQ is bypassed. Is this an easy fix?
