Midi suddenly behaving strangely help! SOLVED

I use midisport 8x8 which is usb to the pc. I use it primarily now as an interface for my two keyboards: a desktop keyboard and a full size keyboard. For anyone using MOTU hardware be advised they have new drivers for some of their stuff; there's new drivers for the MIDI Timepiece AV USB for example, and I can vouch it works quite well on Win XP sp3. It's the first update for this driver in years...
