LOTS of MIDI ports with low latency/jitter

Does anyone know of a good modern solution to this dilemma? I have many devices I need to connect(>16) and cannot seem to find a modern interface that will give me a decent port count. I have an Edirol UM-880 which I believe has great timing and low jitter, but has only 8 ports and is discontinued. ..

Looking for USB mic: Behringen C-1U okay...?

For recordings demo's and sketches on my laptop while on the road I am looking for a USB mic. I found the Behringen C-1U: http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/C-1U.aspx Is that one a bit okay or are there any (really) better ones (in the same price range!)?..

Headphone amplifier rivaling RME quality

I have two headphone outs on my RME. One goes to a cheap Rolls 4 out headphone amp. The other I use when recording vox (as the output is very near the mic). Now the quality of the signal from the direct out if the RME is far better than the output of the headphone amp (duh!!!! the Rolls was like $60..
