Suddenly...audio dropouts.

I have a simple test project going with 5 tracks. 2 tracks of Amplitube, 1 track with Mark bass studio, 2 tracks EZD2, 1 track AD2. I usually record and playback at 128 samples, but at 256 I'm still getting dropouts. I'm having to freeze everything. It looks like I'm using 4.1 ram...I have 8. Any id..
