Problem with TH2 bonus pack download and ir install. This: TH2 Producer Bonus Pack Presets

After downloading and extracting I get three .xml files that are numbered 1, 2, and 3. If I open them I get a huge page of gibberish. I tried extracting all, I tried everything I know. I watched the video about how to add content banks... something is wrong, it is probably me but I still need help. ..

What is sampling

What exactly is Sampling? If i'm triggering notes with my MIDI keyboard, getting ready to record, am I sampling? Or is it taking a song and extracting the kick, is that samplinng?..
