LE and SE

Whats a (the difference between) LE, SE and Trial software? Isn't it the same thing, except LE and SE comes in CD form in a audio interface or other package, and you can have it forever? Or is it better that a trial but still less than bottom-of-the-line product? Btw what do SE and LE stand for?..

It's IK Multimedia's SampleTank FREE, which has been around for a while but now has no restrictions - it's fully functional, just with a smaller sample library than the $200 product. I picked up Sampletank for fifty bucks in the recent group buy and it's turned out to be surprisingly useful...
