Melodyne gives pops and ticks in export

Melodyne seems to do its job fine in Sonar 8.5 but when I export the track I used Melodyne on it has all kinds of ticks and pops... How's that? What should I do to prevent that from happening? And is there a way to 'apply' Melodyne to a track so I can remove the plugin?..
