dropouts

I finally got the computer up and running. X3 loaded but I am getting dropouts/ skips (its a momentary silence) no pops or craclkes in X3, and also in my Itunes. Overclocking / reformatting

Hi all. I think I'm right in saying that reformatting my hard drive won't have any impact on my overclocked system, as all this information is written in the BIOS yes? My computer was overclocked by Carillon audio, here in the UK..
