Any MOTU 896 MkI or MkII users out there?

I'm in process of migrating over to Win8 64 bit and was curious to know if anyone has any inside knowledge of which driver works best in the 64-bit environment. I have both an 896 and 896HD. Never had any issues under WinXP 32-bit using 3.6.7.3 It was my understanding that any drivers after 3.6.7.3 ..

BSODs and cannot do a chkdsk c: /F [Partially SOLVED; see post 11]

Need FireWire

I use a Dell XPS17 laptop for my DAW. I never thought that I would ever need FireWire so my computer is not set up for it, no expansion slot. Is there anyway possible to add it?..

Annoying network sound

Thanks for the input5 fellows. I got a 2 T WD USB 2 drive and as per suggestion ordered True Image 2013 Plus. Was at checkout line with the standard version but saw that only the plus will restore dissimilar hardware. The HD isnt' dead but Windows performance says it's the slowest part of the system..

Solved-(THANKS Fireberd and Spacealf) Dell WINDOWS 7 Software ???

So Ive added 2 new hard drives 1 is the OS 2 is for all my projects, wavs, etc... I believe the recovery disc, repair discs, etc... didnt do properly when I first got the computer.
