New SSD for Windows 8

I'm thinking tomorrow I will order a new SSD drive for a clean install of Windows 8. My question is: The Samsung drive I've thinking I'll get is 2.5 inch, will that fit in my case's unused floppy drive? Or do I need to get an adapter to 3.5?
