Upgrade Advice

Currently still on Windows 7 Professional. Updates have never been applied, they were disabled by my supplier when I originally bought the machine in 2012 I want to upgrade to Win 10 and I intend to buy a new interface while I'm at it as Focusrite have stated there are no drivers for my existing one..

Trying to clone disk and upgrade to W10. WRM and GPT??? (anyone?)

I have a 500GB C drive and a 3TB backup drive. I want to clone the C drive before upgrading from 8.1 to 10. Using Acronis. I need to initialize the 3TB drive. Anyone use this as a boot drive?At the current stage, these seem to get higher performance/bus speeds, but the lack of storage commands aren't defined as well as SATA drives. Just wondering if anyone has tried these PCIe SSD's and your thoughts?..
