Why do people think NOW that our DAW will "stop working"

Theres no time bomb in it, as long as you are running a stable release, and can deal with the bugs up to now, since they wont get fixed. Having said that, I know when MS does updates it could/will break the CW products and any VSTs . So does one stop MS updates(if you can figure a way out of the aut..

Gibson?

I just heard that Gibson is having financial issues ($450 million, supposedly). Does anyone know if this is true? How could this affect Cakewalk? I sure don't want my lifetime membership to go defunct!!..

I might actually have a contingency plan...

Way too early to tell, but I actually have a forum I created back when we thought the Coffee House was going bye bye. Bapu, Strummy and Jan (RIP!) have already joined and checked it out. It's currently in "maintenance" mode but, when/if the time comes, I should be able to start it back up and rearra..
