Arrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhh... Am I the only person who hates the Smart Tool?

I've tried to like it, but it just seems to slow me down so much. I don't find it 'smart' at all, it's totally unintuitive and clunky. And why doesn't it remember what it was set to in other views when you change between them. For example, I've just been in the PRV adding some notes to a drum track...

Metal Music is sounding like Muzak to Me!

I listen to metal demos and hear all the commonplace guitar and drums sounds, vocal deliveries with chronic throat damage sounds, lyrics that don't even mean anything 'cause there is so much of this stuff around now that I am totally numb to it. It now sounds like muzak to me. There is no more shock..
