Not a fake Omega watch - and yes, this is a wind-up :-)

Agreed, it's not quite "Annoyed from Tunbridge Wells" territory, but tonight I complained officially to the BBC. I fully expect immediate action, heads to roll, and for Barry Took to devote a whole episode of Points Of View to my grievance. No doubt the Director General himself will be on the blower..

RIP Frederik Pohl

We have an author down. He left us on 9/2 at the age of 93. I spent many hours reading his books. It's funny that the one I remember most featured a character who outlived his body as a computer program...
