Convert 8 & 16 track analog tape to Sonar

Does anyone know a studio that has the capability to take 16 and 8 track analog tapes and convert them to Sonar 7 multi-track files? I haven't been able to find one in the Boston area. Thanks, Scott..

Tempo matching

Hi - I want to insert a wave drum loop (in a new track), and as closely as possible have it match the tempo of a song(s) I recorded live from a band. So the project tempo that happen to be set during recording did not really matter - or at least I think not. What is the how-to on this...? Thanks !..

Headphone mix

Do you always audition at the same volume?

I have been reading about the K-System, which I previously thought I had a handle on. You use VU Meters or slow averaging meters and pretend that the 0 level is some amount below the top... align them more or less and use that as a starting place for your mix... mixing with plenty of head room. http..

I am recording keyboards with the strings effect. also a piano effect on another track. should I double track the strings track and piano track and pan them equally apart from each other or should they be in the center? my guitars I have panned 100%L and 100%R. maybe strings would be like 50%L and 5..
