Music for games,phones etc.Frequency range.Layer the bass ??

Hi ! Ive been doing music for a dwarf game,and I realised the last couple of days that mainly people playing the game will be using laptop speakers. So I checked out the freq response for the laptop,and its not good lol.The bottom end is around 220 Hz and the top I cant remember of hand.So basically..

USB Mics

Anyone have any experience with USB mics? I'm looking at a Shure PG42 USB and the review at Electronic Musician is not bad. I'm thinking that if I connect the PG42 to my laptop, sing the vocal, this will remove almost all noise from my vocals. My computer is noisy (fans) and I have no room treatment..

Soft Synth Peaking

So I'm using a soft synth drum. When I do this Sonar creates two tracks right? The first is a midi track, the other is the drum track. Why does the midi track peak so high and affect my master peak?
