How can I thicken vocals without it sounding like multiple voices? I just want one strong, present, clear voice...

Tips required- mixing a loops based song

Hi there. I have constructed my first song using loops within Sonar X2. Wondering what mixing tips you may have. For example, do you use a common reverb on all loops? How do you deal with the fact that the drums are in a stereo track as opposed to one track per kit piece? Any other tips welcome......

Something I learned about noise reduction procedures today

Using good head phones seemed really helpful. I was going crazy today trying to restore a digitized transfer of a 1964 pressing of a mono LP record. I used all the good noise and click/pop reduction tricks but thought there still seemed to be some noise. Lots and lots of light reduction passes..

Master Bus Compression - Do you use it?

I had a phantom feed putting my kick drum onto my bass guitar bus... Can't figure out why?

Drums are set to go to a drum bus, then individual sends from the drum tracks to a drum comp. bus, the send from the kick to that bus is also feeding into my bass bus?
