[Known issue] Mis-labelled control
It's not a major thing, but it can be confusing if you are not aware of it. The Velocity Offset control in MIDI & SI tracks is wrongly labelled as "Gain" or "Input Gain" in the Track Inspector and in Console View.

Been this was for all of the X series. I would imagine the newer MC versions based on the X series too.

Confirmed. Just getting clarification from Cakewalk on how QA gets notified through this channel (as this is the first issue I've validated in these forums).

By the way, given the choice, I would prefer that Input Gain was included as a control in the Simple Instrument Track rather than Velocity Offset. Velocity Offset is not something I would use often, whereas Input Gain seems like a basic function.

So apparently they re-assigned the control but forgot to update the graphic. I'm hoping that they decide to stick with the existing graphic and put back the original control.

This is an old issue that Development is aware of. I was trying to append a CWBRN number to it, but after some asking around, I found that the case that it's tied to actually predates the Problem Reporter. So this is something we're aware of, and should be fixed in due time.
As it stands, I'm going to lock this thread as there are no unknown issues here. If you're concerned about restoring the old function of the knob (or the addition of both an Input Gain and Velocity Offset for Simple Instrument tracks) as per post #7, it may be worth submitting a thread in the Features & Ideas forum.
