making drum loops in a step seqencer help

i use sonar 8.5 producer and would like to start making my own drum loops, so far iv been using electronic kit in dimention pro, then i try to make a beat in the step seqencer. two questions, what synth(in Sonar8.5) is best 4 drums, iv heard about 808 or 909 kit, whre can i find them.
***Also when i use a drum kit in a step seqencer it does not identify which ones are are high hats or snares ect. iv seen other step seqencers that identify which part of the drums u are using, how can i do this, i can do it by ear 4 a few but thats it. Any help would be great

    Session Drummer 3 has those kits. It also displays the drum names in the step sequencer
