maschine 1.8 as a VST

Hello I'm very frustrated in not being able to get Maschine 1.8 work as an instrument (VST) in Sonar X1. I've even been in discussion with Roland on this, and they haven't been able to help. I don't see any activity on the MIDI channel when I insert it as a synth. It works in stand-alone, and will work as a MIDI controller in Sonar, but not as an instrument. This is a Win7 64-bit PC. I'll admit I'm fairly new to computer music and any guidance here (especially someone who is successfully using Maschine) would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!! Arron

hey there Arron. it doesn't actually work as a "normal" vst. in fact, its just recently started working with X2 very well at all.

you have to insert it on an audio track (im sure you know that already) and then let sonar loop (say 4 measures over and over) to hear it in action.
what this does is it turns on the audio engine in sonar.

from there, it works pretty much just like stand alone.
