matrix and live recording

Hi i am trying use matrix and capture matrix performance into my tracks. I dont seem to be able to record an audio track simultanious to capturing matrix performance. I am trying to record a scratch vocal on top of the tracks that are being written in the track view. is there a way to do this?  i have follow transport on capture matrix performance on
