I remember this song playing(quite a few years ago) ,talking to you and accusing you of being someone famous hiding behind your pseudonym. After visiting your home a couple years ago and playing in your studio I realize you could be whatever you want musically. This is a beautiful song and you are a GREAT musician. Nice one, definitely reminds me of early Yes. Especially like the acoustic guitar, but the vocals are outstanding as well. Easy listening at its' best.

Yes sir, very good stuff indeed. I like variety and this track fits very nicely on the whole album.
As always Bat, good quality music.
Did you use the AT4033 for vox too?
(I also have that mic and only use it to record my little ones singing....)

hey mark, thanks for listening AND commenting! i hear this 'yes' thing from time to time, seems to be brought up in regards to songs that have the high harmonies? i don't know, a certain kind of melody? i don't get it, but it's cool, because i loved all that early yes, but the were super progressive..... maybe it's the timbre of the voice? either way, glad you dig it!

Bat,
Regarding the Yes comparison on this song. I hear it in all of the above. The musical style, lead vocals, backing vocal harmonies, overall sound. It is more a memory of their acoustic stuff rather than a specific tangible thing I could point to. Example would be a song like Wonderous Stories from Going for the One. Anyway, your song is really good, not a Yes copy, just a bit Yes sounding. That is a compliment in my book...:)

hey stevec! i don't think i've ever heard 90's/2000's YES...... interesting, the only yes i know is from the late 60's thru mid 70's! LOL but that's cool, i'll seek that out and give a listen! thanks for the comments

hey there jude, thanks for listening...... vocals, were probably a ADK Hamburg thru a ART DPS preamp, DBX compressor, and straight to a MAudio Audiophile 192 sound card. probably a little EQ and Compression added at mix.
