metronome output seems to change when it chooses

Oh well guys/gals--please help on this one. I never had the problem before X1. I set the metronome output to a dedicated metronome bus so that I can toggle it off/on, change volumes on the fly, etc when tracking. Problem is I open the project up again or another project and it has changed outputs. Everytime you tweak the ASIO does it decide to doe that? How to avoid.

    It did this before X1b (or X1a I don't remember) but since I have updated, I have not this problem anymore.

    Problem is I open the project up again or another project and it has changed outputs.



    Metronome settings are per-project, so things could be different in a different project, but the same project should maintain its settings in X1b as Manolo said.

    X1 and X1a had a really bad problems with metronome output and status changing after you touched other Preferences. 8.5 and earlier releases had a less-severe form of this. I haven't seen either problem in X1b.

    as you have all so wisely stated--I haven't had the problem since X1b. I'm happy.
