Hi. Thanks for liking the video.

What's your question? There are lots of people around here who can talk about the mid-side technique.

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

You are describing the video in which I used a mono reverb and panned it all left, and a polarity flipped copy panned all right... I link the faders and bring them up.

One of the interesting things to me in the video is that the balance stays slightly heavy on the positive polarity side. That means that you might offset the balance of the center track to adjust.

hey mate:thanks for responding!!!!!!!!!!!the sound of your guitar on that video is outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!
    what i've done so far
track 1 acoustic guitar recorded with shure sm 57.copy clip.pan hard left.
track 2 paste here.pan hard left.
    track 3 paste here.insert a reverb.pan hard right
tracks 1,2,3 insert send to master.
on master buss insert channel tools.pan center.
    this appears to be working???????
to adjust left side use mid gain and l gain.
to adjust l right side use side gain and r gain.

how to set up delay pre-post-off ?
    delay left delay right ?
top left side which button to engage left phase----right phase---off.
delay pre---post--off?which one to use stereo---mid/side---or?

So... Mid Side controls in channel tools are a little odd and probably little understood.

Basically, the mid control brings polarity inverted copies of both channels up in the opposite channels.

The result is not quite the same as increasing the mono. Instead, as you reduce mid, you raise polarity inverted left in the right and the right in the left. The summing nulls some of what is shared in both channels.

This is often used to create a sense of space while making each side more audible in it's opposite. When you sum to mono it cancels exactly.
