midi behind audio in playback

I am running sonar Studio 8.5 with an M-Audio Delta 1010LT sound card.  I create a new project with default audio and midi tracks.  I record both audio/midi tracks together.  On playback,  the midi track is running about 1-2 seconds behind the audio track.  This happens from the very beginning.  I have searched the forums and the net, but this topic has so many complex answers and suggestions that it is no joy on finding a solution.

Can any one of you amazing tech/sound gods shed any light on this subject.  The midi device is a Casio AL-150R keyboard.  I am hard wired on the midi out of the keyboard and into the Delta 1010LT.

Thanks in advance!!!

What is the sample rate set to on the Delta 1010? Are you using ASIO mode?

So if I understand correctly you have both the audio out and the MIDI out of the Casio patched to the Delta.
You arm both a MIDI track and an audio track and record.
They are not in sync.
You have installed the correct Delta ASIO drivers for your operating system and if it is 32 bit or 64 bit?
You have tried playing  along with the metronome and any midi recorded is always late?
You have followed the tutorials on how to set your audio options properly? Timing master/ buffers/ ASIO mode/
There is no on board sound card still active. The delta is your one and only sound card?
