midi channel & prv & inline midi yet again

I've tried several times but so far have not adequately stated why sonar's handling of midi channel is so really terrible and needlessly difficult.   One more try.  
 
See the image.   On one simple track, there are two channels that have midi Controller 7 (Volume).    I use volume because its effect is dramatic -- the same problems exist for any midi controller -- they are only far more difficult to track down. 
 
I've configured the PRV to show BOTH of the CC7 channels in the controller pain.   Clearly the second note is not going to sound.   But if you look at the in-line version of the track, you'll see that only one of the midi channel CC7 value is shown, with no indication that the volume for the second note is in fact 0.    
 
How do you get in this situation?   Many very easy ways:  cut and paste; draw without 'setting' the channel by picking up controller from some other event;  import midi;  set 'Select Controller along with Notes' in a prv with multipe tracks (another bug -- bad controllers, unnoticed, will be picked up by a cut or copy).
