midi fx to synth??

hi i'm a complete noobie here to music creator 6 having some trouble I want to use the midi fx  arpeggiator  with the synth how do I do this??

    - record or edit your clip to a simple instrument or midi track
    - selet the clip(s) you want to apply the arpeggiator to
    - right click -> process effects -> midi effects -> Cakewalk -> Arpeggiator
    - Adjust the settings in the arpeggiator window to your liking
