midi recording

what's up fam? i have been lurking around for a while and playing with my p5 (sounds wrong, i know)but, i have a little problem. when i use say battery or any other vst to record a track and say i record a 4 bar drum pattern, i cant stretch it to continue play or copy in the same track and make that second copy or the part i dragged play. what am i doing wrong?

Extending and looping MIDI clips is one of the most basic features of Project5. Can you give a more step-by-step detail of your process...perhaps one of us here can then help resolve.

absolutely! i find a nice audio sample that i want to use and drag it into the audio track and set the groove clip to a four bar measure. from there i open up my midi track and select battery vst and record a 4 bar drum pattern. from there i drag the audio track as far as i want, but when i drag the midi(battery track) out the same way, it wont play with the other track i drug out. you can see the info, but you can't hear anything. uhhh!

Can you duplicate this with another VST drum synth, or can you duplicate it with Velocity DXi? This would help determine if it is specific to Battery or not.
