migrate dim pro ...

greetings ...

after six years of commendable service , i am retiring my computer , and have purchased a new one ...
can someone explain the correct procedure to migrate dimension  pro from one computer , to another ...

i have the original disk ...
utilizing win xp ...

    No migrating needed.  Just use the disk to install the program and expansion packs.  If you have any third party programs/samples copy them, too.  A 2nd hard drive is the easiest way to do it, if you are going to add it to your new computer.  Or DVDs.  Or a thumb drive.

    Yea, just load'er up.  Cake keeps track of your authorization - I've had Dimpro and other programs on a couple of computers.  The online bit is just to keep someone from using a serial number 100 times.

    Install the program, updates, expansion packs and then add any other program/sample files you've got.  I had to reinstall Vista a few months ago and it took weeks to get everything loaded - tho it was less messy organization than the previous C: drive.
