mixdown audio crashing SX4Pt

I've listened to the mix-down, it played correctly then never finishes "mixing down", Sonar not responding.
  • project 48 / 24bit
  • all tracks are audio
what are some things to check?

From your description it sounds like you're doing a realtime audible bounce

Have you tried a fast bounce?

    yes, have tried:
    1. fast bounce
    2. real-time audible bounce (preferred method)
    3. regular bounce
all = fail to make a WAV file.
no unusual plugins, same things i've used (with success) for years. Guitar rig 5, EZmix, BREVERB, pro channel.

First your specs show an unknown version of Sonar? Do you mean Sonar Platinum?
The X series only went to X3.
And these issues are normally related to your audio drivers and computer set up
A more detailed list of what you are using would certainly help other trouble shoot.
Like your audio interfaces and computer specs

Thanks for the reply, sig. is updated, hope that helps.
Bouncing 48kHz / 24bit  WAV from an internal 7200 RPM HDD to an internal 7200 RPM HDD.
    SONAR (software name)
    X4 (next logical iteration)
    Pt = Platinum
