mixed opinion of x1 there is somthing i am missing

i have read the vvocal ctd is still a isuee and there is no groundbreaking synths added to x1
 its just a new look and workflow simplifyed
ther pref look is from abbleton
 is there a piece of gold in this daw that im misssing is it the compresson on the tracks cus thats not worth the money alone
 i love 8-5 its perfect for me
 but i love new toys and have seen none in demo for x1 pro,
again am i misssing somthing

    If you are happy with 8.5, that's cool, but, in my opinion, the addition of the proChannel alone is worth the upgrade.  And I do like the new interface very well, altho others will disagree.  I find it handy to have several views docked for quick access with a keystroke.
     
    Another big consideration for me is that this is 64-bit and therefore can address more memory.   That may not be of value to you, but i was buying a new kit all at the same time: new PC, new console and interface, and new DAW, so it was a good time for me to go 64-bit.
