mouse clicks/spoken word

Hi guys - I'm recording an audio book & the mic pics up mouse or keyboard clicks when I'm recording. It is a lot of work to go back and edit them all out. Is there a better way to do this so i can pause for a moment & then continue speaking w o clicks? Thanks.

    Tell your mouse to stop squealing. I would try to get a more directional mic as well as longer arms. If you have a control surface try using a foot switch for pause. I have that with my MC.
