moving an entire track...everything...

Look, I appreciate all the help I'm getting, I really do.
I just have only a gazillion more questions until I got this thing under my belt.

So, can you help me with this one please?
I have a stereo track on track one (I guess...not sure how a stereo track occupies but one track, but I'll learn that after this...
Anyway...it's an inserted audio track that my other mono tracks are following.
Ok, I've laid down several mono tracks so I'm on track 10 now.
I need to insert another stereo audio track here, but I need it to be next to track one.
So long story short, how do I move an entire track (11) to make it become track 2?

Thanks for any input

Like I said...King Newbie

In track view, position your mouse pointer until the mouse pointer becomes a vertical double arrow.  There are many hotspots on the track where this happens.  One such hotspot is either side of the track icon.

Dragging the track up or down while the mouse pointer is a vertical double arrow, will enable you to position the track in your project.

Clicking on the track icon (located after the number) and dragging it up or down is another method.

FWIW, tracks can by either mono or stereo. If you prefer using two mono tracks instead of one stereo one you can split them.

I did, I did!
It didn't work. So I tried a different approach.
I shook my staff at it. That didn't work. I tried every measure to get it to move.
Then me thinks (I'll build a bridge to move it), but alas nothing would render a movement.
So I grabbed a buddy of mine and we worked in chorus to upend the entire monitor to see if the track would fall into place.
still it wouldn't nudge.
So I rest.
that's the last time I'll try mutitracking 'row row row your boat'
